TIPS AND TRICKS FOR MAKING YOUR MOVE EASY

When you are preparing to have your home a disaster, and yes! We say disaster, because everyone knows while you’re packing and living in your current location everything is upside down! Here are some tips and tricks we have figured out along the way.

· When packing clothes:

Take a garbage sack, and put a hole in the bottom, slide your hangers inside the hole with your close on them and drawstring, or tie the end of the bag. That way- you can move them easily without them falling off. IF THEY FALL OFF THEIR IN THE BAG!!!

· Pack an overnight bag containing all the essentials.

Chances are, you'll be too tired to unpack your things immediately. Packing an easily accessible bag that has your essential items in it will help you. That may include children’s toys, clothing, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, TV remotes, chargers etc. It also helps you avoid running the risk of misplacing the smaller items.

· If you are disassembling furniture

Remember to place all the pieces inside of a baggie and label the bag and tape it, if possible, to the item. When you go to reassemble all your bolts will be there. If you are able too, take a photo of the put together item prior to disassembling it so you can remember how it goes together later.

· When boxing:

Get different color stickers- each sticker represents a room you want to place them when you get to your new location. It helps the movers/helpers move quickly and effectively. “Hey Greg, the yellow stickers will all go in the upstairs room on the left”.
